Why You Should Use HD Cameras

Why You Should Use HD Cameras

If you own a camera, as millions of us around the world do, your probably aware of the fact that there are many to choose from.  The cameras of the past were black and white, enabling you to take a black and white photograph that printed out from the camera right in front of your eyes.

From then, cameras evolved.  Digital cameras came out later on, which the ability to put them on your computer or even take your camera card to a local store and have the photos printed out on professional paper.  Over the years, cameras have evolved in so many ways that it isn’t even funny.

These days, high definition video cameras are  dominating the market.  They are relatively new and quickly catching on, giving you so much you can do with your camera.  Unlike the past, cameras are now capable of capturing full videos as well, proving that they are indeed capable of capturing any  memory you can possibly imagine.

High definition video cameras also offer you 20X zoom lens or more, meaning that you can zoom in  quite a distance on things that you want to capture up close and personal.  For the most part, you can  do things with these cameras that you may have never before thought possible.

When you capture a picture or video with high definition cameras, you’ll be very amazed at what you see.  Just like HDTV, the pictures of the camera are very lifelike.  If you have a newborn baby, a high definition video camera may be just what you need to capture each and every precious moment.  For this reason and many more, you  shouldn’t hesitate to get a high definition video camera - that is if you don’t own one already.

Choosing the Best Plants for your Garden

Choosing the Best Plants for your Garden

Many times we buy plants on impulse then find there is nowhere in the garden that really suits them. Before buying plants carefully examine your garden to see how much sun and shade it gets, whether the soil is well drained or waterlogged and whether your aspect is sheltered or windswept. You’ll then be equipped to go and buy the best plants for your situation; shade-loving plants for the sheltered areas, sun-lovers for the warm spots, drought-resistant plants for the parched areas which may be either sunny or shaded, and swamp plants for the poorly-drained parts.

But wait! Test your soil first, to determine the pH level of your soil and what kind of nutrients you need to add, if any. Is the soil acid or alkaline? Most plants prefer soil that is slightly acidic, but there are some that must have alkaline soil to grow.  You can alter the soil’s pH level, but it’s much easier to simply plant for the soil you have.

Now you are ready to plant. Well - almost. Will you plant in groups or singly? If you buy ‘one of everything’ your garden may seem rather spotty. Group plantings are organised, harmonious and you can vary the color for interest.

Before planting out, place your chosen plants around the garden bed in their pots to see how they will look. Re-arrange them until you are satisfied. Grouping plants in sets of threes or fives usually looks better than planting in groups of even numbers. Be sure that you have an interesting combination of colors and textures of plants. Tall plants should go to the back, or the centre if your garden will be viewed equally from all sides. Try to keep your plants away from trees. The roots of trees are fiercely competitive and will steal all the nutrients and moisture meant for your flowers.

The right color scheme is one way to maintain the harmony in your garden. Imagine the color of the flowers when they are in bloom. Some colors may clash with others, but can still be planted side-by-side if they have a different blooming season. Foliage color is also important. Many flower plants have silver, grey or purplish foliage that is just as attractive as the flower. This means that they are still attractive well past the blooming season and so have added value.

Gardening tips to avoid fungus during summer

Gardening tips to avoid fungus during summer

Most of us are ready to invest huge amount for landscaping and gardening to give face lift for our home. But we failed to prune when the plants needed it, and then your highly invested landscape looks terrible than ever. So this is a high time to know about the gardening tips for better maintenance of your lawn. Do follow the following gardening tips for better life of your garden: -

Gardening tips for pruning
As we discussed in the introduction, pruning plays an important role in the garden maintenance. If you commit any mistake while pruning, don’t lose your heart because it’s like a bad haircut, it is going to grow again.

Avoid watering in the evening
During summer, you may experience high humidity, which might result in lot of problems in your garden. To get your plants nice and dry, tuck them in for night. In addition to this watering in the evening may be avoided to prevent damage to the plants.

Get rid of Powdery mildew
Powdery mildew is the common fungus mostly affects your ornamental plants. This will create white film on the leaves of the plants in your garden. Even other ornamental plants such as Sand cherry and Dogwoods are also getting affected with this fungus. Efficient gardening is necessary to curtail the growth of this fungus. You can easily prevent this by spraying general fungicide in the garden centre.

Prevention of Pythium Blight
If you’re in the north and also having perennial Rye grass, then you ought to be very careful not to leave your grass wet at night. A dreadful fungus called Pythium Blight may take its upper hand, if you leave your lawn wet in the night because this fungus love to grow in high humid condition mostly, in the night.

Pythium blight can easily be seen in the early morning. You can easily appreciate the fungus on the top of the lawn as white cotton candy. You can easily notice this fungus mainly along driveways and walks, where the soil is moist. Pythium blight can easily be controlled by watering in the day at the earliest possible time.

Fire Blight
Fire Blight, yet another culprit prefers to grow well during summer than any other season. This fungus prefers to attack Pyracantha, cotoneasters, crabapple trees, and Apple trees. The presence of Fire Blight can easily be visualized once the any one of the branches of the plant turns red and dies. This Fire Blight can be prevented little by pruning the affected branch and removing it from the main plant as far as possible.

It is also important that the cut branches should be burnt since Fire Blight is contagious and also wash or dip the projected shears by using alcohol in order to prevent the spread of the deadly fungus to other parts of the branch.

Shotgun fungus
A little gem like fungus, which prefers to grow in mulch and tends to swell, has been termed as “Short gun Fungus”. This fungus can fly up to 8 feet in the air and will spatter your house with tiny brown specks and once they stick to your house or windows, they stick like glue. Most of us suspect the spiders and aliens for this tiny brown speck. You can’t prevent this fungus, but can do something by keeping the mulch loose so air can circulate inside to keep this fungus out. Although mulch is great, don’t allow them to get packed, try to remove it at least once in a year and also rake it flat as if it will look like you’ve just mulched.

Vegetable Gardening

Vegetable Gardening

Vegetable gardening has lately become just as popular as going to the grocery store fore produce.  Vegetable gardening can produce vegetable that are usually cheaper than store bought, and vegetables from a home vegetable garden definitely taste better by far.  Vegetable gardening is no different than growing herbs or flowers and if the proper steps are taken and the plants are give the proper care they will flourish and produce very tasty vegetables.

First you must decide what size of garden you wish to plant and then select a place for it; somewhere that has good drainage, good air flow, and good, deep soil.  It also needs to be able to get as much sunlight as possible.  Because vegetable gardens have such tasty rewards, many animals, such as dogs, rabbits, deer, and many others will try and get to your veggies.  One way to prevent this is to surround your garden with a fence, or put out a trap to catch mice, moles, and other animals.

Before planting, the soil must be properly prepared.  Good soil for vegetable gardening is achieved by cultivation and the application of organic materials.  The soil must be tilled (plowed) to control weeds and mix mulch into the soil.  If you have a small garden, spading could be a better bet than plowing.  Mulching is also a vital part of soil preparation.  Organic matter added to the soil releases nitrogen, minerals, and other nutrients plants need to thrive.  The most popular and best type of mulch you can use is compost.  While the kind and amount of fertilizer used depends on the soil and types of plants, there are some plants that have specific needs; leafy plants, like cabbage, spinach, and lettuce usually grow better with more nitrogen, while root crops like potatoes, beets, turnips, and carrots require more potash.  Tomatoes and beans use less fertilizer, while plants like onions, celery, and potatoes need a larger amount.

One thing that is vitally important in vegetable gardening is the garden arrangement.  There is no single plan that will work for every garden due to varying conditions.  One popular way to arrange a vegetable garden is to plant vegetables needing only limited space together, such as radishes, lettuce, beets, and spinach, and those that require more room together, such as corn, pumpkins, and potatoes.  Try and plant tall growing plants towards the back of the garden and shorter ones in the front so that their sunlight does not get blocked.

When you are finally ready to begin planting your vegetable garden, make sure and plant at the right time of year.  If you are dying to get an early start, you may want begin your garden inside in a hotbed and then transplant when the weather permits.  After you are finished planting, make sure your vegetables receive the appropriate amount of water, which depends on the type of plant.  Most plants will need the equivalent to about an inch of water per week.

Weeds must be controlled in vegetable gardening because they will take up water, light, and nutrients meant for the vegetables and they often bring disease and insects to the garden.  You can get rid of weeds by cultivation or mulching.  To protect against disease and insects you can buy seeds that are disease resistant or use controlled chemicals.

Vegetable gardening is many people’s favorite form of gardening because you can actually taste the fruits of your labor.  Vegetable gardening is not that expensive to start and the taste of home grown veggies definitely beat out that of supermarket vegetables.  Your vegetable gardening days will be full of produce if you take the proper precautions when planting and continue maintenance of your garden.

Organic Gardening

Organic Gardening

Organic gardening is the exact same as regular gardening except that no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides are used.  This can make certain aspects difficult, such as controlling disease, insects, and weeds.  Organic gardening also requires more attention to the soil and the many needs of plants.

Organic gardening starts with the soil.  Gardeners must add organic matter to the soil regularly in order to keep the soil productive.  In fact, compost is essential to the healthiness and well being of plants grown organically.  Compost can be made from leaves, dead flowers, vegetable scraps, fruit rinds, grass clippings, manure, and many other things.  The ideal soil has a dark color, sweet smell, and is full of earthworms.  Some soil may need more natural additives than regular compost can give, such as bonemeal, rock phosphates, or greensand.  A simple soil test will tell you the pH balance and which nutrients you will need to use.

One thing that makes even gardeners that are very serious about organic gardening reach for pesticides is insects on their plants.  The best way to defend plants against insects is to take preventative measures.  One thing that can be done is to make sure plants are healthy and not too wet or dry because insects usually attack unhealthy plants and if healthy, they can often outgrow minor insect damage.  A variety of plant types is a good idea to keep pests of a particular plant type from taking out the entire garden.

Perhaps the best way to defend against insects is to make your garden enticing to insect predators, such as ladybugs, birds, frogs, and lizards.  You can do this by keeping a water source nearby or by growing plants that attract insects who feed on nectar.  Other ideas are sticky traps, barriers, and plant collars.  There are some household items that prevent against insects too, like insecticidal soaps, garlic, and hot pepper.

To avoid plant disease in organic gardening, choose disease resistant plants and plant them in their prime conditions.  Many diseases will spread because of constant moisture and bad air circulation, so the site of your garden and the way it is watered can help ensure against diseases.

Weeds can be an annoying and frustrating part of organic gardening.  Organic mulch can act as a weed barrier, but for even better protection put a layer of newspaper, construction paper, or cardboard under the mulch.  Corn meal gluten will slow the growth of weeds if spread early in the season before planting, as does solarization.  There’s also the old-fashioned art of hoeing and hand pulling that always works.  Your best bet in weed prevention is persistence.  Mulch well and pull and hoe what you can; after a few seasons you can beat the weeds for good.

Organic gardening is an excellent way to assure that your plants will be free and clear of all pesticides and, if taken care of properly, will be as healthy as possible.  Organic gardening may take a little more time and care than regular gardening, but after gardeners get the hang of it and figure out all the quirks of their garden, it is definitely worth the extra time.

Water to Gas, is it Possible

Water to Gas, is it Possible?

Yes, and indeed, water is the most viable, cheapest and abundantly available alternative solution to the rising cost of fuel prices in the market today. Although the common form of water is in itself not a source of potential energy at the onset, however, with the right process involved, can be a veritable and probably the best source of hydrogen – a highly feasible element that can replace fossil fuels to power vehicles and even provide energy like heat and electricity. For the water to gas concept, many studies have been commissioned to study and research on the value of water for providing alternative sources of fuel and energy, which has indeed proven to have been very helpful and revolutionary.

Believe it or not, the technology to make a car run on water is nothing new and has been a patented concept for many years now, which has evolved to the creation and invention of gas-saving devices that either make use of a little electric power from the car’s battery to separate water into a gas called HHO, better known as Brown’s Gas or oxyhydrogen (two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of water.)

The discovery of Brown’s Gas or HHO has been around for a while, but it was only recently that it became known as a source of energy that can make cars run – and the primary source of HHO is water. Brown’s Gas burns very well and provides a great deal of energy, equivalent to the potential of petroleum with an even better environmentally safe by-product – water.
A regular engine burning conventional gas fuel, mileage is relative only to the amount of gas the engine needs to run on, however, much of it is burned and ends up being incombustible fuel, meaning less mileage and much energy is wasted in the form of heat and pollution.

Many may not be aware, but Brown’s Gas or HHO is very powerful, since it has the atomic power of hydrogen and the chemical stability of water, making it three times more potent an d powerful than gasoline. The United States government has recently posed a challenge to the American people to drive hydrogen-powered cars as soon as possible and has set aside over one billion dollars for research on how it can be done. From that challenge stemmed many processes that have been brought to the public’s attention – some effective, some nothing but a mere scheme to mislead unwary victims. Regardless of the good or bad motives, there are in fact a number of very viable methods on breaking down ordinary water into oxygen and hydrogen.

It’s a good thing to know that one does not have to spend much to have their vehicles make use of water to gas, since surprisingly it does not cost a billion dollars to develop. This is so because existing engines in today’s automobiles could work with these processes with very little or minimal alterations to the engine system.

But how does the water to gas system work?

Initially, it starts with the idea that ordinary water is actually a ‘battery’ that contains vast amounts of energy – especially hydrogen energy. Water is two parts hydrogen combined with one part oxygen, thus, one can only imagine how it carries a vast amount of energy and has nothing to do with the amount of energy it takes to break down that molecule. Water to gas is, indeed, a sustainable program that needs a lot of research and looking into. Who knows, it may yet hold the answer to our oil price hike dilemma.

Is Water for Gas for Real

Scam Alert? Is Water for Gas for Real?

Internet is a reliable source of information. Also a source of fraudulent information. So when websites for cars running on water started to be available in internet, the internet community was intrigued. With all the junk the internet has been feeding the public, one cannot blame why the public has been judgemental of this system. Could this be for real? Is this just a scam? But more and more people are starting to testify on how effective this system is in terms of improving their gas mileage and saving money.

When checking the websites for the main water for gas main players, you will notice that they immediately inform the public that they do not come in already installed systems nor will they install it for you. These websites also immediately disclaim that putting water into gas tanks is not how to do it. What they provide is a simple do it yourself system that comes with guides on how to assemble the system.

Some main players would say that this technology was already known for almost 90 years but was “lost” in the midst of old patents. In Richland, Washington; a blind machinist named Bernie Vinther has invented almost the same technology. He said that the water injector was invented in the 1930’s. Vinther said that by using the water injector, there has been 50% increase in mileage and a 25% jump in horsepower. It produces cleaner emissions in both Vinther’s family old motor home and pick-up.

Meanwhile in Chandler, Arizona, Arizona Hybrid Technologies claims that their product the Mileage Monster, can use water to increase fas mileage up to 45 percent. This is called the hydrogen generator. The hydrogen generator is a $400 equipment can be installed in any type of vehicle. Dan Radacosky, chief operating officer of Arizona Hybrid Technologies said that installing a generator is a cost-efficient way to become fuel-efficient. This is pretty much the same as the electrolyzer present in different water to gas conversion kits. However, several Arizona State University professors where sceptical of this technology since they’re wondering why this recent innovation was not published in any science journal.

In Greenville, South Carolina, WYFF News 4’s Tim Waller investigated on the water for gas system and tried to prove if it really improves gas mileage. Waller and Greenville Tech’s Center for Automotive Technology and agreed to install the water for gas conversion kit in a 1990 Buick Century. Based on their study, during the first month that it was installed great changes on car and how it was running was immediately detected. They continued the study for another two- three weeks. And their study discovered that there are no considerable changes in the mileage. They agreed thought that that it is a good concept.

Despite the number of sceptics, there are some who still claims that installing hydrogen generators or water to gas conversion kits are making wonders for their cars and their purses. Each website for the water to gas conversion kits has testimonials on how their products are affecting their lives. But there are individuals who are not posting any comments on these websites but are very well contented. They think that their money is well spent, given the increase of prices of gasoline.

Bottom line is there may be good or bad reviews about these water to gas companies, but any discount or increase in mileage will be a big savings in the end of the year. And any savings are good news especially in a very hard-up situation like today.

How Water to Gas Technology Works

Behind the Scene: How Water to Gas Technology Works

Water4Gas, runyourcaronwater, Fueltrips, drivewithwaterfuel, wam-a-bam. Sound familiar? These would be some of the sites that offer technology to run cars on Hydrogen (HHO or Brown’s Gas) which can also be called Hydroxy, that comes from water. These are the main water to gas players in the market nowadays. So how does this technology works?

Whenever you decide to upgrade to this system and decided to give one of these companies a call, they would never ask you to put water to your gas tank.  Nor they will ask you to buy a new car with the water to gas engine. Actually, it’s very simple. You don’t have to change your engine or you car computer.  The water to gas conversion kit comes in with different part that can be easily assembled at home over the weekend. It only requires to use a few basic tools. The conversion kits major parts would be:

Electrolyzer (some call it “Hydrogen Generator”): these would be the containers (quart sized) can contain about 950cc of ordinary tap water or distilled water  (based on the requirement of the manufacturer of the conversion kit). It could be glass, metal or plastic containers.

MAP Sensor Enhancer: this electronic device reduces fuel consumption without modifying the engine or the computer

Vaporizer: adds water vapour to the engine to cool it down, improves combustion and fuel economy.

Fuel Heater: pre-heats your gasoline for better gas economy, using only energy from the radiator that gets wasted otherwise, it requires no modifications done to the radiator or its hoses#

PCV Enhancer: another great companion to your hydrogen system that improves the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) function, protects your engine and saves gas.
Fuse holder + wiring. Connect to the 12 volts.

Vacuum T-connector: helps you splice the vacuum line for feeding the hydrogen and oxygen into the engine.

Catalyst: Ordinary baking soda.

Pure hydrogen is dangerous, especially storing it in large compressed amounts in containers. It can result into explosion, however water does not explode. That is why water to gas conversion kits do not use pure hydrogen. Since hydrogen is already compressed or present in water, it is safely and easily released and consumed. So when HHO is produced, the by-product left is water. No harmful chemicals are being emitted from this system. You just need enough space under the hood to place a quart sized jar to put the water and catalyst. Catalyst is the substance that helps the electricity separate water into HHO. Nothing will happen without this material. This system uses ordinary baking soda, you can easily grab it from the nearest grocery store or from your kitchen cabinet.

Water is converted into HHO gas using electricity from the car’s battery. The quart-sized water jar with a little bit of baking soda is placed under the hood. This device is connected with some fuse holder and wires to the car’s battery. It gets vacuum and electricity from the engine produces the HHO gas. The HHO gas is supplied to the carburaetor. The generator from your battery connects the device via the ignition switch. This prevents hydrogen production when the engine is off and uses less electricity.

Knowing how safe and easy to assemble to water to gas conversion kits provides us a view on an alternative way to save our trips to the pump. But always, it is very important whenever we’ll be using this system or any system at all that will help us economically, to follow the provided instructions and know the product that we’re going to purchase and use.
